Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our professional representative who will assist with immigration, luggage, and customs. Transfer by private vehicle to your chosen luxury hotel (Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah, Fairmont Nile City, or Four Seasons Nile Plaza). Evening at leisure to rest after your journey. After breakfast, begin your exploration at the Giza Plateau, one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world. Stand before the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, and admire the neighboring pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Just below, the mighty Great Sphinx—a colossal limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a king—has guarded the plateau for nearly 4,500 years. Cairo: Saqqara, Old Cairo & Islamic Cairo
Journey south to Saqqara, the necropolis of ancient Memphis, to see the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by the genius architect Imhotep. This revolutionary structure, built around 2700 BC, is considered the world’s first monumental stone building. Explore additional tombs and mastabas decorated with vivid daily-life scenes. In the afternoon, explore Coptic Cairo, where Christianity thrived in its earliest centuries. Visit the Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary’s Church), built atop the Roman fortress of Babylon, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, linked by tradition to the story of baby Moses. Continue to Islamic Cairo, where medieval mosques and caravanserais line El Moez Street. End with a stroll through the colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East. Alexandria Excursion
Drive (approx. 3 hrs) to Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC. Visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a unique blend of Pharaonic, Hellenistic, and Roman art carved deep underground. See the Roman Amphitheatre, once used for performances and political debates. Continue to the striking Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern revival of the legendary Library of Alexandria. Finally, visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Return to Cairo. Overnight.

Fly to Aswan / Nile Cruise Embarkation
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, meet & assist and embark on your luxury Nile Cruise (Mövenpick Royal Lily, Sonesta St. George, or Historia Luxury Nile Cruise). In the afternoon, visit the High Dam, an engineering marvel of the 20th century that controls the Nile’s floods and created Lake Nasser. Continue to the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated stone by stone to Agilkia Island after the construction of the dam. End the day with a relaxing felucca sail around Elephantine Island. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Sail north to Kom Ombo, where the riverside temple is uniquely dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed protector. Continue sailing to Edfuand visit the Temple of Horus, the most complete temple in Egypt, where beautifully carved walls depict the epic battle between Horus and Seth. Overnight on board.

After breakfast, Tour West Bank. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a striking terraced structure built into the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari.
